How to deal with rule breakers ?

How to deal with rule breakers ?

Postby lowdown on Sun Jun 14, 2009 9:54 am

The last couple of times I have visited Tanners there have been blokes using multiple rods.

I saw a chap last night using 4 rods and a couple of weeks ago I saw 2 fellas using 4 rods . The chap last night was casting his rods in various directions but mainly over to the far bank, taking up vast swathes of the dam, then berating members who moved to a spot where he had put a bait !

When this sort of activity is taking place who can we contact ?

these people have no angling etiquet, they dont care about others around them and this has forced me to visit there less often because i just can't stand them. the fact they complained to people fishing on the far bank is down right rude and shows no respect.

it does my head in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
If you come across anybody breaking the rules try to get the members name or membership number. This can then be passed onto the committee in confidence, the committee will then look into the matter. Please make a note of the date and time of the offence.

Cheers,

right i know all the comittee means well an stuff, what you need are people to come up an kick them off,
an anyway why would they tell us there names when its obvious why we want them ?

oh and the people who are doing it have already had there memberships removed for this exact reason. its the marland brothers.

I hope this goes to Warren personally but all other anglers take note.
I have just spoken to a friend and he told me that while fishing today one of these 'rule-breakers' (*cough* Marland's dad) came up to Tanners fishing 4 rods, he doesn't have a membership and he was fishing multiple rods and no doubt breaking other rules.
My friend didn't do anything himself but someone he was fishing with rung Warren. Warren then came up and told the rule breaker to get off Tanners and to not come back, but also told the rule breaker who had rung him, a pretty selfish thing to do, you might agree, as he is endangering the rule-abiding angler.
The rule breaker did pack up, but not before going over to the friend of a friend and threatening to throw him in and pretty much having a massive go at him. A few heated words where said, so I've been told.

From this I have completely lost trust in the board, you should be there to protect us anglers, protect the waters, protect the fish and make sure all rules are stuck to. I think most members would agree that Warren shouldn't have mentioned any names and that he should have taken the required action to make this rule breaker leave the water, whether thats by ringing the police or by kicking the shit out of him. Whichever he's in the mood for and under no circumstances should he endanger another member.

Obviously something like this WILL happen again as 2 times in the past 4 days the rule breaker has been onto Tanners and appropriate action should be taken to stop them from coming up again.

Yours Sincerely Razc2007 x

I am appalled that this individual seems to be allowed to get away with flouting the rules and concerted action is needed to eliminate him from fishing our waters

I emailed the board a revised copy of my post so hopefully they will take some form of action reguarding it.
It is unbelievable how much they can get away with then actually just come up the next day acting like everythings normal.
Now whenever i go and i see them how is it going to make me feel about making that call to warren? Some sort of action needs to be taken ASAP.
